Inspired by my Chaldean Iraqi grandmother, I
often reflect on her ownership over a
liquor store in Detroit.
Although she had a deep passion for fashion design, she encountered the harsh realities of limited opportunities to pursue her dream.
Instead, she forged paths for me to fulfill her vision, which has now become ours. I present her reimagined vision of contemporary customer accessories found in Detroit's corner stores through both my and my
grandmother’s eyes.
